Yes, your vehicle is covered by the carrier’s cargo insurance. Additionally, Advent Auto Transport provides contingent cargo insurance, offering up to $250,000 of protection if the carrier’s policy does not fully cover a valid claim.

Have keys ready: Be prepared to provide a set of keys to the carrier at the time of pickup.

Wash your vehicle: It’s recommended to wash your vehicle before pickup. This will make it easier for both you and the carrier to inspect for any scratches, dents, or other damage. You’ll sign the Bill of Lading (BOL) based on this inspection at both pickup and delivery.

Fuel levels: Ensure your gas tank is about 1/4 full. A full tank adds extra weight to the vehicle and the car carrier. For electric vehicles, the battery should be between 45-65% charged.

Exterior: Retract or remove your antenna and store it in your trunk. Remove any bike racks and aftermarket accessories.

Remove valuables and personal items: Take out add-ons like custom stereos, GPS systems, and personal items. You are allowed to place one box or suitcase weighing less than 100lbs in the truck or storage area.

Parking passes/toll tags: Remove all parking passes and toll tags to avoid unnecessary fees. You will be responsible for resolving any fees incurred during transport.

If you need to adjust your shipping date at any time, simply reach out to us by live chat or call us at 800-418-9523.

In the auto transport industry, the Bill of Lading (BOL) serves to document the condition of the vehicle at both pickup and delivery. As the most important document during transport, it’s essential to review the noted condition of the vehicle before signing the BOL to ensure you agree with the assessment.

Top loading refers to placing a vehicle on the upper level (deck) of the transport truck. Some prefer top loading as it can help protect the vehicle from fluid leaks, road hazards, and debris. If you prefer a top load, we can accommodate this for an additional fee. Be sure to discuss this option with your representative during booking. Keep in mind that a single-deck trailer is also considered a top load, as no vehicles will be positioned above yours. In certain situations, such as safety or legal restrictions, the carrier may not be able to fulfill a top load request.

For the most up-to-date, location tracking information on your shipment, contact your carrier directly for updates or call us at 800-418-9523.
